Minesweeper is back and a bit more intense with this latest title, Minesweeper Genius.
Minesweeper Genius is a take on the classic game we all know and don’t understand, Minesweeper. This version includes Aristotle, aliens, and DNA. The aliens have successfully stolen Aristotle’s DNA and cloned him in a lab filled with explosive landmines. It’s up to you to dip and dodge these mines to get to the next level.

Why the aliens are after Aristotle’s DNA, I’m not sure but what I am sure of is there are over 130 levels. Plus 55 extra super challenging levels in Minesweeper Genius. And get this, now that settings are adjustable there is a new Custom Level mode which generates puzzles based on adjustable settings; this is exclusive to consoles.
Not only is this a new story, which now that I think about it: what was the story of the original Minesweeper anyway? There is also a new look There are numbers based around the board to help the player figure how many mines are near and where it’s safe to land. The player can still mark mines as they move through the board. A newer feature in Minesweeper Genius is, arranging tiles as they see fit.

Minesweeper Genius is a creation of Mgaia Studio and Blowfish Studios’s efforts to team up and bring an updated, out of this world Minesweeper game.
Mgaia Studio, born out of a collaboration of two studios is based in São Paulo, Brazil. This studio is a four-time winner of SBGames Festival Award creates mobile, PC and now console games.
Blowfish Studios, an independent publisher based in Sydney, Australia loves to release original multi-platform games and collaborate with other studios.
